10 Day Safari in Uganda Itinerary

Day  1: Transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Zziwa Rhino Lodge

You will be met at the airport and then taken to the Zziwa Rhino Lodge located within the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. at night, rhinos tend to come to the lodge. Dinner and night at the lodge

Day  2: Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary + Murchison Falls  National Park

Murchison Falls Bamboo Village

After breakfast, we will follow Shoebill into the swamp. After the excursion, we will go trekking with the Rhinos. Lunch at Zziwa, then we will head to Murchison Falls. Dinner and night at Bamboo village.

Day  3: Murchison Falls  National Park

Bamboo Village

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda with lots of animals and this is the day we will spend the whole day in the park. Lunch will be at the Pakuba lodge then in the evening go for a boat cruise along the Nile to observe the animals that depend on it. After the boat cruise, we will return to the lodge. Dinner and night at the lodge

Day  4: Murchison Falls  National Park

It’s another day to enjoy wildlife in this largest national park in Uganda. we will also take packed lunches so we can observe the animals at the water points where they come to drink in the heat. Dinner and night at the Bboo lodge

Day  5: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Chimpanzee Forest lodge

On this day we will travel from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park. We will have a local lunch along the way while enjoying the landscapes and real Ugandan life. Dinner and overnight at the Turaco treetops.

Day  6: Hiking with chimpanzees

Chimpanzee Forest Lodge

After breakfast we head to the park headquarters for a briefing and to get the rangers who will guide you through the forest as you search for the chimpanzees. Lunch at the lodge. After lunch we can go to Bigodi Swamp to search for other primates as well. Dinner and night at the lodge

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast we will head to Nutanda resort where we will spend the night ready for gorilla trekking the next day. lunch will be along the way perhaps like in the town of Kabale. Dinner and overnight at Mutanda Lake Resort

Day  8: Hike with gorillas

This is one of the most awaited days we go for gorilla trekking. So after breakfast, with our packed lunch, our bottles of water and our good walking shoes and rain jackets in case it rains, we attack the famous Bwindi forest in search of the rare mountain gorillas . After finding them we will return to relax. Dinner and night at the lodge

Day  9: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Rwakobo lodge

After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Lunch at the Lodge. After lunch we have an evening safari and then a night safari. Dinner and night at Rwakobo Lodge

Day  10: Walking Safari + Departure

16:30

We will first have a coffee then go for an early morning walking safari in the park with the ranger then have a nice breakfast at the lodge. Afterwards we left for Entebbe airport for your return flight. Lunch at the equator

Cancellation and refund policy.

A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of at least 50% or the full amount in our bank or office accounts, the remaining balance must always be paid 14 days before the start of the safari.

Refund Policy:

Zizou Tours And Travel will refund 100% of the deposit if we cancel your trip, and the following cancellation policies apply in the event of cancellation by a customer.

More than 60 days before arrival – 10%
30 days or less before arrival – 25%
14 days before arrival – 50%
7 days or less before arrival – 75%
48 hours or less before arrival -100%
NOTE:
Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Golden Monkey permits are 100% non-refundable. No refund will be made for any activity canceled and/or not carried out by a client.

Zizou Tours And Travel declines all responsibility for any modification, delay or cancellation caused by war or threat of civil war, civil unrest, natural disaster, terrorism, labor disputes, fire, bad weather, illness, act government or public authorities or other circumstances arising from force majeure and/or force majeure.

NOTE: In case of refund of your money after following the cancellation policy, Zizou Tours And Travel will deduct 50 USD from your money as bank charges used to return your money.

Payment methods.

We prefer wire transfers or bank to bank payments which take 3-4 business days for the money to arrive in our account. Bank account details must be provided on the invoice.

Useful notes:

A negative PCR test for Covid-19 is no longer a requirement before boarding a flight to Uganda.

Apply for your Uganda visas online as there is no longer any issuance of visas on arrival.

Gorilla trekking depends on the availability of permits but the demand is so high. It is advisable to book the tour well in advance to avoid disappointment. The same goes for trekking with chimpanzees.

Gorilla trekking is an intense activity and therefore requires some mental and physical preparation before the visit.

With you we strongly recommend the following: Rain poncho (lightweight), long-sleeved shirt, waterproof pants, sturdy hiking boots, leather gardening gloves, sunscreen, insect repellent and all necessary medications should be brought by yourself from your hometown. Cameras and video cameras are permitted, but bring their respective accessories.

Although having the Gorilla Permit guarantees gorilla trekking and viewing, the time required to find them can never be predetermined. However, the maximum time spent on them is 1 hour and the trek is reserved for anyone under 15 years of age.

There are established park rules and regulations that must be followed at all times in national parks. You will obtain them thanks to a briefing by your driver-guide.
